There are 3 types of sediment cartridges:
- Spun Polypropylene
- Rope Wound Polypropylene
- Pleated / Washable
All are designed to remove:
- Suspended matter
Spun Poly (SSEDP range)
An excellent "depth" cartridge with optimum dirt-holding capacity, making for exceptional value for domestic and light industrial applications. This cartridge will capture particles throughout the whole depth. Suitable for tank and bore water.
Available in 2.5" and 4" (BB) widths, with 10", 20", 30", and 40" lengths to fit existing IBC Water housings, and compatible with most other brand housings.
Rope Wound (SEDP range)
Robust "depth" cartridge with optimum dirt-holding capacity, resulting in fewer change-outs. Made from polypropylene rope wound around a central core.
Available in 2.5" and 4" (BB) widths, with 10" and 20" lengths to fit existing IBC Water housings and compatible with most standard housings. Suitable for tank and bore water.
Pleated / Washable (FCW range)
Pleated washable cartridges are "surface filters". Once the outside surface of the fabric is soiled it needs to be washed. Can be washed and re-used up to 3-4 times before replacement (subject to the volume and type of sediment).
These cartridges are excellent pre-filters for removing large solids and organic matter in dam, tank and bore water. Large surface area maximises efficiency, resulting in fewer change-outs. Ideal for low pressure situations. Suitable for domestic, tank water, irrigation, light industrial, swimming pool and spa applications.
Also available is a 60 micron washable net filter.
